Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony

Many years ago I woke up in the middle of the night and I had an urge to play Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony.  I listened to it on headphones and at that time I had an experience which is quite rare.  I felt that every note I haven’t made sense and that I had an exhilarating sense of revelation.

However, before I can tell you about that I need to describe some of the background and give you some description of the Symphony itself.  Of first give some account of the circumstances surrounding the writing, the Symphony and then go on to describe the Symphony itself.

Beethoven first notice a ringing and buzzing in his ears around the age of 26 or 27.  Around 1799 he began consulting doctors.  In the winter of 1802.  Was advised to go easy on his hearing and the following April would find Beethoven resting in the village of HeIigenstadt on the outskirts of Vienna.
